Hiking

Family hike with nature games

Between Niedernsill and Piesendorf, hiking becomes a playful adventure for the whole family. The “Spielend wandern Weg” leads for around seven kilometres through the valley of the Celtic fairy Isonta - mostly flat, close to nature and full of little discoveries. Along the Salzach, twelve creative stations await, where children can balance, jump, explore and experience nature with all their senses. Along the way, children and adults learn exciting facts about water, animals, plants, flood protection and the history of the valley. Boards with QR codes explain the games in a simple and child-friendly way, so you can start at any time. For small children, a baby carrier or an all-terrain buggy is recommended, as the trail partly leads across meadows, gates and crossings.

After the hike, the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn takes you comfortably back to your starting point - especially practical, as the Guest Mobility Ticket is included during your holiday. Please note: Dogs are not allowed on this trail in order to protect the grazing areas.
